Fourth Week

This week marked the start of the new schedule here at LASA.  This week we completed privacy activities and presented them to the class.  We talked about what information we had on the Internet and whether it would be an accurate representation of us in real life.  We also looked at different scenarios in which social media or other online sources were used in leaking information that should have remained private and ended having repercussions on the someone.  We discussed whether they were right in what they were doing or whether they deserved punishment.  On Friday we watched some TED videos my favorite video was the first one on filter bubbles.  I enjoyed this video and i had noticed this happening when working in groups recently.  We were trying to look up pictures for a presentation and even with the same word in the search engine the pictures were in a complete different order and some pictures weren't even there.  I also enjoyed the video about how algorithms shape our world.
